Changing your email address
How to update the email you sign in with — and what to watch for.

You can change the email tied to your HelloCivic account at any time.
How to do it
- Open Profile from your avatar menu.
- Click Change email.
- Enter the new address and your current password.
- We'll send a verification link to the new address. Click it within 24 hours to confirm the switch.
What changes immediately
Nothing — the change isn't applied until you click the verification link. You can keep signing in with the old email until then.
What changes after verification
- All future sign-in must use the new email.
- Workspace invites that were sent to the old email are still valid (they're keyed to the invite token, not your email).
- Notifications now go to the new address.
Triple-check the spelling
If you typo the new address and lose access to it before verifying, you'll need to start over from the original email.
