Renaming a workspace or changing its slug
Update the display name and URL slug — what to know first.

Renaming the workspace
Go to Settings → General, change the name, click Save. The new name appears immediately everywhere — sidebar, invites, audit log.
Changing the slug
Same page. Edit the slug, click Save.
Old links will break
Changing the slug rewrites every /dashboard/workspaces/<old-slug>/... URL. Bookmarks, deep links in emails, and links inside Linear or Notion won't auto-redirect — they'll 404.
Best practice
Pick a slug you can live with on day one. If you must change it, post the new URL in your team channel before you do.
Who can do this
Workspace Owners and Admins. Members and Guests can't.
