Uploading your first document

How to upload

1. Open Apps → Accessible Docs → Documents.
2. Drag your PDF or Word file onto the dropzone (or click to browse).
3. We start processing immediately.

Processing time

• Small PDFs (< 20 pages) — usually under 60 seconds.
• Medium (20–100 pages) — 1–3 minutes.
• Large (100+ pages) — up to 10 minutes. We email you when it's done.

What you'll see

When processing finishes, the document opens in our viewer with a side-by-side comparison: original on the left, remediated on the right. You can:

• Approve — download the remediated version and you're done.
• Edit — refine AI-generated alt text, fix any structural quirks, then re-export.
• Reject — discard and try a different source file.

Supported file types

PDF (versions 1.4–1.7+, including PDF/A) and DOCX. We don't currently support DOC (legacy Word), RTF, or PPTX — convert to PDF first.
