Customizing widget appearance and colors
Match the widget to your brand without writing CSS.

Open Access Widget → Appearance to customize how the widget looks on your site.
What you can change
- Button position — bottom-right (default), bottom-left, top-right, top-left.
- Button color — pick a hex code or use one of our palette presets.
- Button shape — round (default), square, or pill.
- Button icon — accessibility icon, person icon, or upload your own SVG.
- Panel theme — light, dark, or auto-match the visitor's OS preference.
- Custom CSS — Pro+ — write any CSS you want to override our defaults.
Live preview
Changes apply instantly in the preview pane. Click Publish when you're happy.
Match your brand color
The default widget color is HelloCivic teal. The first thing most teams change is to match their primary brand color — it makes the widget feel native.
